About BTKIT

Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology (BTKIT) is a government engineering college located in Dwarahat, Almora, Uttarakhand. It was established in 1986 and is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun, and approved by AICTE. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering and technology.


Admission Open 2025-26

  • UG Courses (B.Tech): Admission is based on JEE Main scores followed by Uttarakhand State Counseling (UBTER).

  • PG Courses (M.Tech): Admission is based on GATE scores or state-level entrance exams.


Eligibility Criteria

    • B.Tech: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (minimum 45% marks for general, 40% for reserved categories).

    • M.Tech: B.Tech/B.E in relevant discipline with a valid GATE score.
